A great advantage of green tripe is that it has a great calcium: phosphorus ratio of 1:1 and also ideal percentages of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids.

The bacteria Lactobacillus Acidophilus is present in green tripe, this is a good bacteria that works against detrimental bacteria (Salmonella, E Coli and Listeria), which therefore helps reduce the risk of health problems associated with them. The probiotics present in green tripe help to improve and maintain a healthy gut. This is why it is a valuable addition to the diet of dogs who suffer with digestive issues. Green tripe also contains digestive enzymes, these enzymes help to break down the food and enable it to be absorbed and utilised in the body.
